Who operates Wino

Burak Kaan Köse operates Wino Mail and is responsible for the personal data described here. For privacy questions or requests, email wino@bkaan.dev.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the Wino Mail app. Your mailbox is stored on your device and connects to your mail provider. The separate Wino Account Privacy Policy covers account settings you sync, purchases, and optional Wino Intelligence, including AI processing and temporary encrypted results.

Google user data

When you connect a Google account, Wino Mail accesses the Google data that you authorize through Google’s permission screen. Depending on the permissions you grant and the feature you use, this can include your Google account email address and Gmail mailbox data, such as messages, message headers, recipients, labels, folders, attachments, and message status.

Wino uses this data only to provide the mail features you request: showing and synchronizing your mailbox, sending or managing messages when you ask, and keeping your mailbox available in Wino Mail. Wino does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, build a user profile for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness, lending eligibility, or similar decisions.

Wino’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How Google user data is stored and shared

Wino Mail stores synchronized Google mailbox data only on the device where you use the app. Your Google mailbox password, Google access tokens, raw email content, and attachments do not leave your device for Wino to store.

Wino does not share Google user data with third parties except where required by law or needed to provide the mail service you request. Wino does not sell Google user data or make it available to advertisers, information resellers, or data brokers.

Protecting Google user data

Wino uses encryption in transit for communications between Wino Mail and Google. Google access tokens and mailbox credentials remain on your device. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect data on your device from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and loss.

Why information is processed

Wino processes account information to provide and secure your account. Google user data is processed only to provide the mail features you request. Wino does not sell this information, use it for advertising, or use it for unrelated purposes.

Retention and deletion

Wino keeps Google mailbox data on your device until you remove it in Wino Mail, remove the connected account, or uninstall the app.

Legal bases

We process information to provide the mail features you request. Security processing relies on our legitimate interest in protecting users and the service. The Wino Account policy explains the legal bases for account services and optional Intelligence.

Your privacy rights

Where GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Email wino@bkaan.dev to make a request. We respond within one month; if a lawful extension is needed, we will explain why within that month. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

Children and changes

Wino is not directed to children. If we make a material change to this policy or how Wino handles Google user data, we will publish an updated version of this policy.
